Maverick International was contracted by the client, Social Places, to design and innovate their office space—transforming it into a vibrant, functional environment that reflects their creative culture and dynamic brand identity. This project presented an opportunity to push the boundaries of conventional corporate interior design, blending high-impact visuals with practical spatial planning to support both focused work and collaborative engagement.
From the outset, our goal was to deliver a cohesive scheme that not only supported the client’s operational needs but also celebrated their unique ethos. Meeting Space with Biophilic Feature Wall
This versatile meeting space is defined by a striking full-height living wall, introducing a bold biophilic element that brings freshness and texture into the interior. At the centre of the room sits a large timber table, supported by a pair of powder-coated black U-shaped metal frames—offering both stability and a clean, architectural aesthetic. Surrounding the table are contemporary, white-painted wire-frame chairs that nod subtly to classic garden seating, lending the space a relaxed yet refined character. The room can be enclosed via folding doors, allowing for both open-plan collaboration and private breakout sessions as needed.
Solo Work Nook with Creative Detailing
This compact workstation is designed to comfortably accommodate individual focused work within a larger open-plan setting. The backdrop features a bold, typographic wall treatment in turquoise and white, injecting energy and a contemporary edge into the space. Underfoot, grey rectangular floor tiles enhance the modern aesthetic with a sleek, understated finish. Adjacent to the desk, an array of brightly coloured steel pipes runs across the wall—offering a playful, industrial-inspired detail that subtly reinforces the creative character of the overall scheme.
Collaborative Work Zone with Coordinated Graphics
This collaborative area brings together four individual desks—mirroring the style of the solo work nook—to form a larger shared workspace ideal for teamwork and informal meetings. The continuity of grey floor tiles, white walls, and a clean white ceiling reinforces the cohesive, modern palette running throughout the interior. Behind the desks, graphic detailing has been applied to the glass partitions, echoing similar treatments found on the surrounding walls. To the left, a bold, large-scale illustration serves as a focal point, while the right-hand wall features four vibrant linear elements. These coloured lines reference the steel piping from the adjacent zone, creating visual continuity and reinforcing the playful, creative identity of the space.
Private Office with Graphic Glazing
Situated just beyond the glazed partitions, this enclosed room serves as a private office or meeting space—offering a degree of separation from the surrounding open-plan environment. Most of the glazing is adorned with bespoke graphic illustrations, injecting personality and creative flair while providing a sense of visual privacy. One window remains fitted with blinds, allowing for additional light control as required. The overall design balances functionality with artistic expression, showcasing how corporate interior design can remain imaginative while meeting professional demands.
Creative Washroom with Monochrome Illustrations
Even within the washroom, the theme of creativity is thoughtfully maintained. The space adopts a crisp black-and-white palette, establishing a clean and modern backdrop. White walls and ceilings serve as a canvas for bold black illustrations, which wrap across surfaces to create a striking, immersive experience. This unexpected graphic treatment transforms the restroom from a purely functional space into one that reflects the playful and imaginative spirit of the wider interior scheme—an example of how even ancillary spaces can be elevated through well-executed corporate interior design.
